By Jonathan Oosting – Updated March 30, 2018 05:07:03Nintendo has announced the Nintendo Switch, the first handheld to offer a truly game-like experience, and has unveiled a price tag.
The Switch’s price tag is $499 for the system, $599 for the console, and $99 for a bundle of two.
Nintendo’s Switch is designed to appeal to the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS family of handhelds, and is intended to offer up the ability to play the same games from both devices.
The Switch will launch on March 3, and Nintendo says it will be available at retail and online on March 6, although the console will only be available to pre-order from Nintendo.
The system will be priced at $499, but the bundle will offer an additional $99 and $59 to the console and the bundle for the Nintendo DSi XL, Nintendo 3D, and the Nintendo NX.
